About the project:
The research project‘Conversing with Goliath: Participation, mobilisation and repression around neoextractionist and environmental conflicts in Mexico’ was funded by the British Academy, through the Newton Advanced Fellowship Scheme. It was coordinated by Gisela Zaremberg (FLACSO México) and Valeria Guarneros-Meza (De Montfort University).
This Observatory is the result of 3 years of research carried out by the team of the project Conversing with Goliath: Participation, mobilisation and repression around neoextractionist and environmental conflicts in Mexico. The public access to these findings is intended to cover the lack of information on socio-environmental conflicts and participative institutions whose primary objective is to reduce the former.
